If your wallet does get dirty or wet, there are several steps you can take to ensure the leather’s look and feel remains intact. Depending on the type of leather, there are two approaches to take.

Water-repellent leather | These leather types have been treated to allow the surface to be cleaned with a damp cloth. The leather is unlikely to absorb water or other materials. Therefore, you should refrain from using any polish, as it will only be superficial and likely rub off upon contact with your garments.
