To achieve maximum writing comfort, a high-quality cartridge and ink are of high importance.

Ballograf produces its tips from Japanese stainless steel, and the balls are made from extremely dense tungsten carbide. In the back of each cartridge is a small amount of fat, which counteracts the ink to prevent it from drying out even if the pen is left unused for an extended period. 

Both blue and black medium refills are certified Swedish archives, which means that these cartridges with the medium tip are authorised to be used within local authorities due to their resistance to light exposure. 

Each cartridge writes 8000 meters.
